+Character
Additional characters. Price can be less for small animals. Extra fees may apply if the added character has a detailed design/outfit.
+Detailed BG
All illustration commissions include a simple background (flat shape/gradient).
Extra fee for larger, more detailed environments. Includes foreground props (furniture, detailed weapons, etc)
+From Scratch
Characters with little to no references to work from take a little longer for me to do, and there does tend to be a little more sketch/color tweaking/discussion involved, so I charge extra to make up for it. _Applies to Reference Sheet commissions only. _
Limits on extra views
As a personal design preference, I like my reference sheets to be clean and uncluttered, so I have limits to how many extra shots I'll put on it.
For headshots specifically, if there is already a lot going on with the reference sheet (extra full body views, cutouts), or if the character design doesn't lend itself to a lot of negative space (wings, multiple arms, big hair, etc), generally I'll limit the headshots to 2. However if there's not much going on beyond the base reference, I don't mind doing 4.
Applies to Reference Sheet commissions only.

terms of service

It’s your responsibility to read through everything listed to the best of your ability. By commissioning me, you are agreeing to my terms of service and breaking them can result in me blacklisting you from future commissions. Please contact me if you have any questions, or need clarification!

BEFORE YOU COMMISSION ME

  • My slots are currently Patreon only! Although I may open public slots if I still have some left.

  • Even if you join my Patreon, you are not guaranteed a slot that month, so please keep that in mind before joining!

  • Make sure I’m open for commissions by either asking me directly or checking my status!

  • I prefer to have at least one reference image of your character. Flat colors would be best for accuracy. In-game shots are acceptable if they clearly show your character. For best results, please include screenshots from multiple angles (at least front and ¾).

  • You’re allowed to use art that isn’t yours to express or explain any ideas you have for the character, clothing, props, or image composition, but I will not copy someone’s art or character design. The end result must be different.

  • I will accept text references, but please keep things short and to the point.

  • If your submission is really long and/or disorganized, I will rewrite it to be easier to read while drawing. If I have to do this, I will charge extra.

GENERAL INFO

  • I don’t start commissions until I’ve received payment, unless I’ve already agreed to.

  • Make sure any reference images stay uploaded and available until I’ve finished your work.

  • Deadlines are okay as long as they’re reasonable (a month at least), but I don’t accept deadlines until I’ve received payment. If you need it rushed I will charge extra.

  • Expected turnaround time is 3-4 weeks for most commissions. If you absolutely need something sooner please let me know before I accept your commission. I do charge a 50% rush order fee.

  • I go through my entire queue one step at a time. I’ll go down the line and sketch everything, and then do lineart, color, etc. Everything tends to get finished at around the same time.

  • I will not be harassed into working on your commission faster.

  • I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason.

PAYMENT

  • All prices are in USD and must be paid up front before I start working.

  • I accept only Paypal.

  • I use Paypal’s invoicing system, please don’t send money yourself unless I’ve asked.

  • Please put no address on all invoices I send you if it asks for one. These are digital goods, and you won’t be getting anything mailed to you.

  • I offer payment plans for orders that are over $300. Initial payment is still required before I begin your commission, and it must be paid in full before I continue past the sketch phase.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

  • If you need a refund, then you must request it before I've started your commission. If I already have, I will give you a partial refund based on how far along I am.

  • Under extremely rare circumstances, I may choose to cancel your commission. In these cases, I will give you a full refund, even if I have already started work.

  • If I’ve agreed to give you a refund, please allow 1-2 weeks for me to refund you in full. It may take longer for very large orders.

When you can't ask for a refund

  • Your commission has been finished.

  • If you traded/sold/gifted the character to someone and it isn’t yours anymore.

PROCEDURE

  • Once you have submitted your form and we’ve discussed what you’d like, I’ll send you a Paypal invoice and add you to my commission queue.

  • I provide progress shots depending on what kind of commission it is:

Illustration WIP Shots

  • Sketch

  • Lineart

  • Flat colors

Reference sheet WIP Shots

  • Front view sketch

  • Full sketch of the sheet

  • Lineart

  • Flat colors

**Please review each progress shot thoroughly before approving them.
**

  • When your commission is finished, I will send you high and low resolution versions of the file. It is your responsibility to download them to your machine.

CONTENT

  • When in doubt, please ask first.

  • I won’t draw in another person’s style, you are hiring me for mine.

  • Tasteful pinups are fine!

**I’ll draw anything to the best of my ability, but I do have trouble with:
**

  • Heavy armor

  • Robots, cyborgs, androids or other heavily mechanical things

  • Vehicles

  • Feral-type animals

  • Guns

  • Large crowds

  • Extreme perspective

  • Cities/Buildings

REVISIONS

  • I’m usually okay with making changes to WIP shots as long as they don’t get excessive and don’t go a step backwards (eg. wanting changes to lineart when I’m showing you colors).

  • After the first half hour of edits, I will start charging per half hour/edit session.

  • It’s totally fine to edit a WIP shot to show me exactly what kind of change you want!

  • I do not make changes (for free) after the commission has been completed, unless it’s a detail that I had completely missed or forgotten.

  • For reference sheets, I’m okay with going back and making small edits if your character has changed and you want your sheet to reflect it. Cost will vary depending on the edits you want. I am unable to make edits to work before March 2022, as that harddrive died and I no longer have the PSD files.

RIGHTS & PRIVATE ARTWORKS

  • I retain all rights to my art unless I state otherwise. This means that I can post it to any of my active sites and use it for samples of my work, and distribute it as I see fit.

  • For unfinished refunded sketches, I reserve the right to repurpose it for another commission.

  • You are allowed to post your commission to your gallery, social media, blog, personal website, etc, but it must be credited and linked back to me!

  • If you want to crop your art for an icon, banner, blog image, etc, that’s okay!

  • All work is for personal use only. Please do not resell my art unless it has been discussed beforehand.

  • My work is not to be used with NFTs.

  • If you would like to use my work commercially, please contact me and ask in private!

  • Please let me know ahead of time if you don’t want your commissions posted, or if you’d like to keep your identity hidden!

BLACKLISTING

If you break the terms listed above, I have the right to blacklist you from any and all work in the future.
I’m a very reasonable person, and it’s hard to break the rules! (and even if you do I tend to let it slide if it was super minor)
Just avoid the following:

  • Harassing or nagging me about your order or just being extremely difficult to work with.

  • Selling, tracing, or using my art without permission.

  • Issuing a chargeback through Paypal after the commission has been accepted and completed.

  • Trash talking about me, my art, or my business.

  • Cheating or being difficult to friends or artists I know.

If you are blacklisted, I won’t post your name publicly.
If you think you’ve been wrongfully blacklisted, please discuss it with me in private.

frequently asked questions

What files will I receive when I commission you?
I always send out low and high resolution versions of your art!
That's cool, but can I have a CLIP/PSD file too?
Sure, just ask!
For best results, please use Clip Studio!
If requesting a PSD, then please note that some layer effects from CLIP may not carry over.
What do you mean by "excessive changes?"
If I end up spending over half an hour on edits, or if I'm changing one thing at a time (rather than being given a list and doing it all at once), it's too much. After the limit has been hit (I give a warning), I start charging per edit session.
How do you decide if a character has a complex design?
The idea is that if I look at a particular character (whether it’s the character itself, outfit, or prop) and immediately think, “Wow, this is going to take a really long time,” it’s complex. If the character has a lot of intricate markings, a long/fat tail, big wings, extra limbs, many layered/detailed outfits, or big props, I will most likely charge extra.
How long will it take for my commission to be finished?
It generally will take 3-4 weeks!
How can I check your progress on my commission?
This link has my current commission queue, and it’s color coded and organized so you can easily see where I am in my batch! I keep it updated frequently, so make sure you check it!
Do you have a waiting list?
Not at the moment!
